Lay It on the Line: An activity to practice LIE vs. LAY

Click here to listen to my introduction to the activity “Lay It on the Line”.

Many students (and teachers, too!) make mistakes with the verbs lie and lay. There are some fun ways to help students discover and remember the differences. I recently came across Jean Lersch’s catchy song called Lie, Lay, Lain on Songs for Teaching.com. If you do some searching, you’ll find some other materials online, but hopefully you’ll start with the activity I’m offering today. Click here to view my Lay it on the line_handout. Enjoy!
